The food that we eat is a fundamental part of our lives, hence it is important to ensure the conservation and quality of the same. Cool rooms play an essential role in preserving and extending the life of foods such as vegetables, meat, eggs, dairy products, fruits, beverages. It would be impossible to keep the food items fresh and healthy without such rooms. The rooms have appropriate temperature and humidity to prevent deterioration of food items.

Food items such as meat for example are "dead" and the processes to spoil it begin as soon as the animal is slaughtered, hence proper refrigeration and appropriate temperature control is required to prevent the meat from spoiling. Products such as vegetables on the other hand are "alive" and their metabolism is still working and it is important to provide them proper humidity and temperature to keep them fresh. Dairy products and some beverages have to be stored under some specific temperature to prevent certain chemical reactions and microbial processes and hence ensure the best quality of products.

We cannot imagine a hotel, bar, restaurant or cafe without a proper refrigeration room. It is essential to know how much of the food that we eat is kept fresh before, during and after transit. Cool rooms can be utilized for diverse purposes such as:

  •  Used in supermarkets to keep the food items fresh
  • Used in  meat processing facilities.
  • Fish preparation and processing facilities
  • Fruit storage and preparation
  • Vegetable storage and preparation
  • Food preparation and production areas.
If the food that we eat is of high quality, then our overall health would also be great. Thus such rooms are very important for our complete wellbeing.
